Having fitness goals is all about constantly reevaluating and adjusting—sometimes it’s really hard to get motivated, and other days you feel like the Hulk. That’s why, if you’re like me, you need a place to write down all of your goals as they come and go. These nine planners are awesome for helping you chase your 2019 fitness goals and celebrating little wins along the way.
Our girl Katie Dunlop, creator of Love Sweat Fitness and all-around adorable human, just released a planner so cute that you’ll want to use it all the time. Its pages not only have—you guessed it—the days of the week, but plenty of places for you to write down your goals, keep track of your nutrition, and record your workouts. Plus, for added sweetness, some of the pages are designated love notes for you to tear out and hand to your pals (awww).
No surprises here—as the cover implies, this planner is a place for you to record your food, exercise, and sleep each day. Paper Source is really great at making aesthetically pleasing designs that you’re not going to get sick of after a month, and each page is organized in a way that’ll make any spreadsheet-loving left-brainer’s heart sing. I should note that the food and exercise sections are pretty calorie count-y, so if crunching numbers isn’t part of your daily routine, this might not be the right fit for you.
If you eat, sleep, and breathe fitness, this planner from Blue Sky was made for you. Good luck finding space for the rest of your life (Ha! As if such a thing exists!) on these pages—they’re dedicated to logging your workout, your meals, and even your water intake. And if you need help keeping track of your goals, there’s a check-in page each month where you can recap and self-motivate like the tough cookie you are.
Ever crafted a vision board? If so, this planner from Simple Elephant is going to be your jam. Not only does it give you the typical calendar space to organize your life, there are also plenty of pages for you visualize your goals by mapping them out and adding pictures. Grab an old magazine, some scissors, and a glue stick, and go manifest that ish.
Alright: This planner doesn’t exactly cater to fitness fanatics, but I couldn’t resist adding it in here for the stickers alone. The folks at Ban.do know how to make a solid planner—big spaces for making agendas, little pockets for storing notes and receipts, separate month tabs for easy access, and a snappy elastic closure. Did I mention there are really awesome stickers?
This is almost more of a gratitude journal than an actual planner, and it serves the purpose of goal setting and fitness tracking better than some of the others. Each page asks you to state your intentions for the day so you can circle back that night and reflect on how it all went down. There are a bunch of encouraging quotes and tips from Fitlosophy sprinkled throughout, so it’s like having a tiny cheerleader in your bag at all times.
Some people just can’t be forced to color inside the lines. With a bullet journal (like this one, from Bujo), you’re free to create your own parameters and organize your world in any way you’d like. I’ve got mad respect for anyone with the patience to actually stick with this for 365 days because it requires a ton of TLC—but if you’re the kind of person who finds coloring books cathartic, you’ll probably love bullet journaling.
